Happy Thanksgiving!!!  And one thing I am so very thankful for would be my wonderful, sweet couples.  Stephanie & Michael are two of the funnest and kindest, too.  It’s only appropriate that I create their Reflections on Spring Creek wedding post on this day.

I have had the privilege of getting to know Stephanie & Michael over the last year.  I was able to do their engagement session at White Rock Lake.  Are they not just the most adorable couple?

Stephanie and I got together a couple of weeks before their wedding at Mandalay Canal to take bridal pictures.  What we didn’t plan for was the time change taking an hour of our sunlight away.  I think we got some great ones, though.  =)

So, now on to the main attraction, Stephanie & Michael’s beautiful Reflections on Spring Creek wedding.  Stephanie put together some great vendors to help her out throughout her big day.

Venue: Reflections on Spring Creek | Make-up: The Makeup Zone | Officiate: Rev. Peter Andrews | DJ: DJ Tommy Scott | Drapes: Quest Drape | Cake: Panini Bakery Cakes | Photographer: Christina Truelove Photography (of course) 😉 | Second Shooter: Stacie

I arrived at Stephanie’s hotel room, where a complete sense of calm was over the room.  I am not used to that.  It was nice that it was such a quiet time with only Stephanie and her good friend, Kailene.  The rest of the girls were setting up at the venue.

Getting ready for a wedding in Plano

As soon as my assistant, Elissa and I arrived, we took the dress outside to get it hanging in the gorgeous gazebo that is on the property.  The guys were about to arrive, and we did not want anyone to see this beautiful dress before Stephanie makes her grand entrance.

Stephanie’s ring bearer was so excited, and insisted that it was HE who had to give her the present.

Stephanie and Michael exchanged love letters to each other before their ceremony.  I told you, they are just the sweetest couple, ever.

This was a very sweet table.  This table was dedicated to all relatives who were celebrating Stephanie and Michael on their special day up in Heaven.

I loved their sign-in table.  They had everyone sign-in on little hearts that went into a picture frame that they can hang on their wall.Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple

Stephanie’s mom had the honor of walking her beautiful daughter down the aisle.  I was so happy to see Michael’s reaction to seeing his bride.Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple

The unity cross is a new tradition, and it is really meaningful.  The outer cross is the frame and represents the groom.  He is strong and is tasked with being the support of the family.  The beautiful inner cross represents the bride, who fills their life with joy.  Together, they complete each other.  The final part would be the nails, which is Jesus, that hold the two of them together in their marriage.

Stephanie and Michael’s wedding was full of very sweet traditions.  The unity cross as a symbol of their marriage, the unity candle which transforms the two individual flames into one strong one, and the rose ceremony.  The roses were presented by the bride and groom to their mothers.  I just love all the many ways they added meaning to their gorgeous ceremony.Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple

And now, they are Mr. & Mrs. Capak.  =)

So, here is the groom’s cake.  I put it here because I love the reaction that the couple had to their groom’s cake.Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple Beautiful evening Reflections on Spring Creek wedding using the color purple

So, there you go, kids.  This was such a fun, sweet, beautiful, and joyous wedding, and I am very thankful that I got the honor of being involved on their big day.

Stephanie & Michael, I hope you always keep that joy in your marriage.  When things get challenging, just look back at these pictures and how happy you are.  You overcame a few battles just to get to this day, and all of that only strengthens your marriage!  Keep having fun together, and you will have many happy years to come.

<3 Christina
